FishWhere Demo
The Demo is a limited edition that will allow you to experiment with the full range of program functions. It contains a sample database of locations and fish catches in the Tampa area. Because it is a Demo, it will not allow you to enter any of your own locations or catches, or to convert Loran TD's.

To Download and install the Demo:
  1. Click the red DOWNLOAD below. This will link to the YouSendIt website with the "GS Software" logo. Click the orange Download Now Securely button. SAVE the FW2Demo-Setup.EXE file (10.6 MB in size) to your PC's Desktop.
  2. After the download close the YouSendIt page, and then double-click the FW2Demo-Setup.EXE file on your Desktop, and then RUN.
  3. A standard Windows Setup procedure will install the software into a default folder. We recommend using the defaults in this installation procedure.
  4. You do not need to re-start Windows immediately. A FishWhere 2.0 Demo Icon will be on your deskyop. Simply click this to launch the Demo. The Demo can also be launched from your START / PROGRAMS menu.

You can Delete the FW2Demo-Setup.EXE file on your Desktop. A file called FishWhere System Overview.DOC will also be created in the folder where FishWhere is installed (C:\Program Files\FW2Demo). This is a MicroSoft Word file, and contains basic instructions for using FishWhere and navigating through the maps (see separate Download below).

The Demo will highlight FishWhere's capabilities. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions! Keep in mind that we also offer an unconditional 2-week money-back guarantee if you are not completely satisfied with the software.

FishWhere Overview Manual
This is a Microsoft Word Document that details all the primary functions in FishWhere. It will walk you through the basic map scaling functions such as zooming, scrolling, panning, etc. It will explain how the "Criteria" option on the right side of the menu control how your locations and fish catches are displayed. It will also explain the map layering system on the left side of the main menu, and how you can control the properties of each layer, such as color, line style, transparency, etc. This document should have been included with your FW CD, and a hard copy should heve been provided when you purchased FW. Older purchases may not have received this, and we recommend that you review it.

FishWhere Program Update (September 28, 2009)
This update has data fields in the Location Entry menu for Loran coordinates, and FW can now convert these to Lat/Lon!!! The Loran TD coordinates are now displayed in the lower left corner of the map below the Lat/Lon as you move the mouse across the map. The IMPORT A FW DATABASE function now allows you to limit the imported locations to a specific Lat/Lon range. This will allow you to merge two FW databases over a narrower area of interest. Importantly, we now have a FW database for ALL the artificial reef location in Florida as compiled by the FWC as of early 2008. There are over 2500 locations, but using this new import function will allow you to easily restrict the import to your area of interest.

A September 2008 update provided "Find Location" and "Edit Selected" buttons. Also, the FW copy protection system was modified so that you don't need to insert the FW CD every time you start FW. You will need a "Registration Key" the first time you start this latest update, after which FW will start without the CD. You can still install FW on another PC, such as a laptop. Registration Keys (a numeric code) were e-mailed to all customers. If you don't receive yours, then please contact us to obtain one.

When you are ready to install this latest update;
    1.  Copy the FW2.EXE file from your C:\Program Files\FishWhere2 folder to another temporary folder. This is your current FishWhere program file, and we are copying it to a safe place just in case the update gets corrupted in the Download process.
    2.
Click here to DOWNLOAD the FW2.ZIP file (775 kb) and it to your PC's Desktop.
    3.  After the download, double-click the FW2.ZIP file on your Desktop. The WinZip menu will open.
    4.  Highlight the FW2.EXE file in the ZIP, and then click EXTRACT, and you'll be asked to navigate to the folder where you want to save the FW2.EXE file.
    5.  Select the C:\Program Files\FishWhere2 folder and extract it. You should get a message asking if it is OK to over-write the older FW2.EXE file already there - say "Yes".
    6.  You can now start FW2, and the Revision Date at the top should be 9/28/2009.
That's it - you're ready to go. You'll see the new FIND and EDIT buttons as above.
    7. If you didn't download the last update with the Registration Key, then when the new updated FW starts it will ask you for the Registration Key. You will need the FW CD to be in the drive, but this will be the last time!
Florida Complete Artificial Reef Database (Feb 20, 2009)
We now have a FW database for ALL the artificial reef location in Florida as compiled by the FWC as of early 2008. There are over 2500 locations with a great deal of detail, such as deployment dates, materials used, bottom relief, etc. This is very good fishing information!!! Your original FW databases had a lot of artificial reef information provided with it, but there has been a lot of activity building new reefs in recent years, and this will fill in all the blanks. We sent this database out with an e-mail to all of our registered customers at no charge, so if you didn't receive it then click here to e-mail us and request it. Note that you will need to install the latest FW2 program update (Feb 25, above) to import this reef data in the best manner.
